GP Resources has recently launched a new program intended to better serve the needs of small businesses and start-ups.
Contrary to popular belief, manufacturing in low cost countries such as China and India is not always the best economic solution for all companies. If your part is labor intensive, you are on the right track, but if your company is not in a position to place high volume orders, then your manufacturing savings will be eliminated by shipping costs. This is often the case with small businesses and start-ups.
If you are a company burdened by high domestic manufacturing costs, but don't quite have the resources to invest in high-volume overseas orders, GP Resources may be able to help. Here's how it works:
- GP Resources conducts a cost analysis of your project and delivers a "per piece" quote with a minimum volume.
- If you cannot meet the minimum volume, GPR requests your maximum project budget.
- Working within the parameters of your budget, GPR reduces the "per piece" quote to achieve the minimum volume.
- "Per Piece" price reduction is offered to you in exchange for equity in your company. Essentially, we become partners.
- Details of the exchange are developed with you on a case by case basis and depend on percentage of price reduction, estimated annual volumes, market potential, current company value, etc.
